being things
things are, are, are. i just had a sort of conversation about whether sad is the same even though there are a million million different ways to be sad. and the funny part is, i'm not sad. it was just one of those conversations about abstractions.
i am far behind on trying to think of a halloween costume. so far the best i've come up with is wearing my big shoes and going as 5'3"--but that's been done. so i'm taking suggestions.

I think you should be wonder woman, or have you already done that? Bonus points if you accessorize with an invisible jet or the hall of justice. (If that doesn't come together in time, there's always crazy spoon head as a last minute, minimal effort backup plan.)
Any ideas for me?
Interesting thought on sad. Maybe sad is pretty consistently the same and differs only as its description differs... really sad... very sad... melancholy... heartbroken... inconsolable... depressed... clinically depressed...
Go as a minesweeper game board, or maybe a Go game board. Whatever it is, make sure it is has the following two characteristics:
1) A game board
2) A grid
"Oh, darlin' - you're a million ways to be cruel" (and sad).
Was reading a NYTimes article (because I'm elite like that, waha) the other day about "sad" vs. "depressed," and clinical defs. What a fine line, sheesh. I don't truly know what to make.
Def' go to Hallowack as something that accentuates your wonderful biceps. Because they are mighty. So yeah, maybe Wonder Woman. And one of those rather large accessories, or at least just the lasso of truth (or whatever it's called). Oh man, now I see Lynda Carter flying around the air in that invisible plane. Great.
